Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Clarksville Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those queries on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Hosting systems may create standard server logs such as an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools can support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
That information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell a visitor list or create profiles of individual visitors.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside service controls information submitted on its own pages under its own policy. That includes sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Data Recipients
Hosting and support providers process server-log information for us. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure and not otherwise.
Safeguarding Information
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the purposes stated above. Since the service has no accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where a visitor lives, the visitor may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a service keeps. Tennessee's Information Protection Act, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 47-18-3301–3316, addresses qualifying business data practices; it is not a blanket right to erase government public records. Because this service keeps very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available logs. Use the Contact page. A record held by a Tennessee state, Montgomery County, or Clarksville office must be addressed to that record's custodian.
Policy Changes
Changes to this policy will appear on this page. Continued use after a posted change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
